Summer 2025
š¶ Embrace the Dog Days š¶
Did you know that the phrase āDog Days of Summerā refers to the Canis Major constellation? According to Farmerās Almanac, the Sun occupies the same part of the sky as Sirius, the Dog Star. Sirius is known to be the brightest star in the night sky visible from Earth but its brightness has nothing to do with the heat associated with the Dog Days. Earthās tilt towards the Sun increases temperatures here on the ground, resulting in the longest, hottest days.

ā Welcome Yesenia ā
![]() | Hi, Iām Yesenia! Lifeās always busy with my daughterās softball games, weekend family gatherings, and getting outdoors whenever I can, I especially love going on hikes. I also love cooking and baking, and my favorite treat to make with my daughter is strawberry cookies. After years as an account manager in the flooring industry, I made the leap to office manager at Griffās Electric, a whole new field! Itās been an exciting change, and Iām really enjoying learning all about the electrical world. I love being part of a team! Every day brings a new challenge, and I enjoy connecting with great customers along the way while learning and growing in this exciting field. |
š ļø Project of the Summer š ļø
This summer, our team has been hard at work on an exciting office space renovation project. Griff and Albert collaborated closely with the customer to design and plan a new electrical installation tailored to the updated space. The crew carefully traced and identified all existing electrical circuits to ensure safety and accuracy throughout the process. After safely disconnecting power sources in the renovation area, they furnished and installed straps and hardware to secure the existing 4-inch service conduit along the exterior concrete wall in the upper mezzanine.

š°Tariffs - We Feel Them Tooš°
Recent tariffs on imported electrical materials and components have led to noticeable cost increases and extended lead times across the industry. At Griffās Electric, weāve felt the effects both directly and indirectly from higher pricing on essential parts to delays in project timelines due to limited inventory availability. These changes have made planning and budgeting more challenging, especially for larger-scale jobs. We continue to work closely with our vendors to minimize disruptions and keep our projects moving forward efficiently. | ![]() |
